This page is all about...
| Hi, my name is Michael Thibodeaux, and I currently live in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. I was born in Morris, Illinois and lived in St. Martinville, Louisiana until I joined the U.S. Air Force in 2000. After completing training for Munitions Systems Specialist, I accepted a tour (move) to Okinawa, Japan for two years. After one year of being there I started taking classes with UMUC Asia. I was only able to take 2 classes when I was given orders to report to Turkey. Where I stayed there for 15 months and completed nine classes right before the Iraq War started. Family members were evacuated and basically everything was shut down. I had to take a break from school until I came to Ramstein Airbase Germany. Here in Germany I have decided that I need to focus more on school. So after a year from arriving I put an application to separate early for two reasons. The first is to finish school and the second is that I do not want to increase the chance of not seeing the next day by being sent to Iraq. After five years in the military I have figured out that I cannot use this experience for many things and I figured that more goals could be achieved if I were able to put school first and the rest second. As of May 2009, I have accomplished a Master of Science in Information Technology and Information Assurance Certificate at the University of Maryland University College Europe, School of Information and Technology Systems with a 3.9 out of 4.0 GPA. Now, I am looking to learn more about Information Security themes and to apply my knowledge, that encompasses the 10 domains in the CISSP, to an international organization. Looking forward to hearing from you, Michael Thibodeaux | |
